Designer + Researcher
Carina earned her bachelor's degree at Pomona College in California, where she studied social sciences. There, she worked to help women who'd been released from life prison sentences to achieve self-sufficiency, and conducted independent ethnographic research in Little Tokyo, L.A. These experiences sparked a desire to deepen her awareness of other modes of thinking, beliefs, and worldview. By deepening her understanding, she wants to use problem solving skills to help improve others' lives even in the slightest way, or help people achieve their goals. While looking for a way to do this for a living, she encountered UX design and research. She even utilised design thinking as a framework to pave her career path.Carina is curious about things related to daily life, culture, and language.
Her hobbies include yoga, hiking, film photography, and cooking.
Besides that, she watches Netflix shows (to study Spanish of course), and loves learning new things.
While learning said things, she enjoys figuring out new ways of learning how to learn.
