Kinetyx is blending the world of gaming and fitness with their hardware— connected insoles that turn the human body into an untethered joystick. They asked Airline to help them design a one-of-a-kind limited edition package that would embody the brand and preview its tech.

Telling the story of imperceptible technologyWe wanted to do more than just make a cool package; our goal was to design a package that embodied the capabilities of the blank insoles inside of it. We explored 8 overarching directions, a dozen materials, and countless forms to get to the final package.
Data-driven designWe took inspiration from graphs and charts to bring shape to the data hidden inside of the Kinetyx insoles. Our final design visualizes the pressure map extruding out from the insole while neatly tucking all accessories inside of it.
